This is how you see Egypt in one week. Land in al-Qāhirah (Cairo), spend 2 days visiting the great pyramids in Giza, the museum of antiques, and a cruise on the Nile. Then take the sleeping train to Thebes (Luxor), see the valley of the Kings/Queens (incl. King Tut’s tomb), Hatshepsut’s temple, the temples of Luxor, Karnak and others. At this point you will have had enough of monuments and tombs. You deserve a rest, head for Alexandria and unwind by the mediterranean.
