St. James’ Park. Home of the great underachievers. Michuzi would probably call them ?husuni jipya ? boma jipya. With the KK factor infused they’ve had three straight wins and a draw yesterday with Portsmouth. Let’s hope they have a better season next year.

Spamalot

If you’re a Monty Python fan and you’re not dead yet, go see this musical. We watched it last month in the West end and it was well worth the trip. Adapted from the classic film ‘The Holy Grail’, Spamalot follows a silly yet hilarious journey of King Arthur and his knights in search of the holy grail. Obstacles to their quest include a killer rabbit and tree shaped knights who say ‘Ni’. The Life of Brian’s ‘alway look on the brighter side of life’ was perhaps the best of the songs. When you’re chewing life’s gristle, don’t grumble, give a whistle…

Egypt

This is how you see Egypt in one week. Land in al-Qāhirah (Cairo), spend 2 days visiting the great pyramids in Giza, the museum of antiques, and a cruise on the Nile. Then take the sleeping train to Thebes (Luxor), see the valley of the Kings/Queens (incl. King Tut’s tomb), Hatshepsut’s temple, the temples of Luxor, Karnak and others. At this point you will have had enough of monuments and tombs. You deserve a rest, head for Alexandria and unwind by the mediterranean.

One More Fallen

We were all saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Cliff Mbwambo who was involved in a road traffic accident on sunday 23rd Sept 2007. It is a great loss to his friends, family and the whole clan, we’ll truly miss him. Shine on Cliff. Tribute page here.
